Overview:

Compassionate, Service, and Supportive (CSS) Village International has taken on the task of redefining the phase "It takes a Village to Raise a Child" to mean that it takes all of us (it takes all of humanity, regardless of location or time zone to make this world better.) And by extension, if all of  humanity and/or communities saw themselves as members of "The One Village" concept, our world would be a more Compassionate, Service and Supportive ordinated world that would help nurture, teach, and guide our children to become more compassionate, willing to perform service to others, and be more supportive in improving the human condition, and how well they treat others . To this end, CSS Village International shaped its involvement to focus and participate in a concept that the world is one "Large Village" with sub-villages that are organized by location, communities, subjects, and spheres of influences but still contribute to this world as a whole called "US".

“THIS VILLAGE CONCEPT IS NOT LIMITED TO A LOCATION OR PLACE, BUT ENCOMPASSES THE COMPASSIONATE, SERVICE AND  SUPPORT THAT YOU GIVE TO OTHERS WHEREVER THEY ARE”

PURPOSE:

The purpose for creating CSS Village International, Inc. is to develop a non-profit organization that provides for the recognition, collection, sharing, and documentation of the living and lives lived so that all can learn and benefit from their mistakes, successes, opportunities, paths, hopes, and dreams.

Also, CSS Village International, Inc. was created to provide a platform that one’s story can be told, shared, understood, and archived. Moreover, to provide a safe space for network participants to interact with each other in a compassionate, supportive, enriching, and productive manner.

CSS Village International, Inc. is attempting to redefine and expand the meaning and application of the phase “IT TAKES A VILLAGE TO RAISE A CHILD”  for

“THIS VILLAGE IS NOT LIMITED TO A LOCATION OR PLACE BUT ENCOMPASSES THE COMPASSIONATE SERVICE AND SUPPORT THAT YOU GIVE TO OTHER WHEREVER THEY ARE” 

The Compassionate, Service, Supportive (CSS) Village International, Inc. is not a place, people, or a community but consists of individuals, faith communities, non-profit organizations, businesses, and others with shared values, who want to have a deeper and positive impact on their communities, youth, and families. Through connecting with others virtually (internet, audio/video conferencing, discussion group, etc.) and live one-on-one meeting, workshops, seminars, socials, service, and networking events. In the Village there are mentors, coaches, helpers, friends, teachers, ministers, counselors, partners, sponsors, patrons, supporters, and Elders (Those individuals who have lived, experienced, learned enough to freely share and give to others and their communities what they have been blessed with.) There is also lesson learned and wisdom through Legacy stories of individuals and communities. So, if you believe in compassion, service, and support for others and connecting with compassionate, supportive, and positive people and organizations, please Join Us in making a significant different in the lives of individuals, youth, and families.

The value of a Compassionate, Service, and Supportive Village culture creates a community of caring, loving, positive and supportive personal connections, a sense of belonging, and well-being; access to advice, encouragement, compassionate and productive engagement, resources, activities, events, training, retreats, and networking.  This is why The CSS Village International, Inc was created.

MISSION:

To use life stories and village histories as training tools for youth and adults so that they may better understand this “Journey” called life and the roles that all of us play. Furthermore, to provide a safe space for network participants to interact with one another in a compassionate, supportive, enriching, and productive manner.

CSS Village International, Inc. desires is to collect, share, connect individuals, and communities.

GOALS:

1.   To promote the need for a more compassionate service and supportive individuals and communities to train youth and others  by sharing life stories of individuals and communities that have made a difference by the fact that they lived and/or existed. 

2.    To develop a network of like-minded individuals to assist each other in joint or separate endeavors.

3.     To develop a network of speakers, mentors, teachers, and life coaches that can provide life lessons, skills, knowledge, and the "how to's" in making the lives of individuals better and to improve the living condition of our communities.  

4.     To honor the lives of individuals and the history of communities who have given of themselves and resources for the betterment of their families, citizens, nation, and the world.

5.      To provide compassion, service, and support to individuals and communities that will be outlined in CSS Village Network International, Inc. annual strategic plan.

OBJECTIVES:

To develop a significant number of  mentors, coaches, helpers, friends, teachers, ministers, counselors, partners, sponsors, patrons, supporters, and Elders each year to assist in the training and interaction with youth, young adult, and individuals who feel they can benefit from the services and support that CSS Village Network International, Inc. provides.

The action of helping or doing something/working for others.

SUPPORTIVE

Providing encouragement or emotional help. Encouraging, understanding, caring, reassuring, concerned, helpful, and sympathetic.
